**Key Accountabilities**
- Drive excellence and collaboration within the ocean freight team, cultivating a positive and high-performance work culture.
- Formulate and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and profitability in ocean freight operations.
- Stay ahead of global ocean freight regulations, ensuring all activities are compliant and providing support in resolving compliance issues.
- Forge and maintain strong partnerships with shipping lines, carriers, and service providers, securing competitive rates and top-tier service levels.
- Analyze industry trends to identify growth opportunities, recommending strategic actions to strengthen our market presence.
- Establish, monitor, and refine KPIs for ocean freight operations, driving continuous improvement in performance and customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering skill growth and creating clear career advancement paths.
- Oversee cost control measures and ensure that the sales strategy is aligned with growth objectives and SEA capacity planning.
- Lead capacity planning aligned with carrier strategy and implement best practices in procurement to maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage pricing strategies for tenders and ad hoc needs, leveraging our network branches to secure optimal capacity.
- Monitor departmental performance in areas such as productivity, service quality, and incident management, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Engage regularly with clients, addressing challenges proactively and spearheading initiatives to enhance service quality.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders, including commercial and customer service teams, to maximize cross-sell and up-sell opportunities while strengthening internal relationships.

**Qualifications, Experience and skills**
- Over 10 years of experience in Ocean freight forwarding operations and procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Extensive knowledge of the Logistics and Freight Forwarding industry, with a focus on Ocean Freight
- Proven leadership and strategic decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable agreements
