As a senior cost estimator and contract administrator, you will be responsible for managing and preparing all cost estimation and contract administration for our construction projects. This will involve initial calculations to final accounts, ensuring the financial success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
Review tender documents and participate in pre-tendering activities with clients and project managers. Raise relevant queries from given tenders, prepare BOQs and provide detailed quantity and component take-offs against drawings as specified in the tender document. Prepare project preliminary costs, negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain best prices and terms, and identify discrepancies in tender/contract documents. Manage project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring costs, and monitor and control costs throughout the project.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Tertiary degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying. Sound knowledge of construction industry practices, regulations, and standards. Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management techniques, familiarity with contract administration and legal aspects of construction projects, and experience working with AutoCAD and validating quantities from drawings. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and extraordinary negotiation abilities. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying, and strong project management skills.
