Chinese Language Teacher Position

At our centres, we are seeking a qualified and passionate Chinese language teacher to deliver our unique pedagogy and instil the joy of learning Chinese in our students. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a conducive learning environment that fosters social skills and positive classroom behaviour.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Teach Chinese language skills, including speaking, reading, and writing, to children between the ages of 2.5 to 12 years old.
  • Implement the I Can Read Chinese curriculum to enhance students' literacy and comprehension skills.
  • Develop and teach various techniques for structured composition, critical thinking, and language development.
  • Travel between centres to conduct Academy classes, including online lessons, and maintain open communication with parents through regular updates on students' performance and progress.
  • Conduct ad hoc replacement lessons and one-to-one sessions, and perform any other duties as required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualifications in Teaching/Education/Early Childhood/Chinese Language/Chinese Literature or Linguistics.
  • Proficient in Mandarin with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • At least two years of related teaching experience, or similar.
  • Passion for teaching young children and ability to work well with co-teachers and Learning Centre Management.
