A great opportunity has arisen for a Junior LME Trader to join a Metals Trading firm in Singapore.
The ability to work very closely with our Shanghai in Mandarin and take orders efficiently and quickly from the China team.
- To market make/trade in both non-ferrous, ferrous and precious metals while conforming to our in-house position limits;
- Take, record and execute orders received from the Company’s clients. Record and pass on executions in an accurate and timely manner;
- To work overnight orders on behalf of London traders both in LME Select and TT (when applicable for Comex / arb orders)
- Review and keep abreast of market data and relevant economic data that may influence market moves
- Review the daily/weekly/yearly charts on Bloomberg looking for keys levels or support/resistance, moving averages and trend channels.
- Discuss markets views/opinions with fellow LME traders and customers.
- To be able to use Reuters Eikon, WeChat, Bloomberg and other electronic communication channels as may be necessary
- To understand and operate any electronic trading systems that the Company may use from time to time;
- As and when required to staff the order desk;
- To be fluent in written and oral English and Mandarin
- Be fully conversant in Microsoft Excel / Word
- As and when required to perform any other ad hoc company duties.
- Be fully compliant with all FCA, LME, MAS and Money Laundering Regulations.
- FCA exam passes and FINRA Series 32 would be beneficial.
- Singapore FMRP and CMFAS certification required
