We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Reservation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our front office, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of hotel reservations, from taking bookings to managing inventory and room sales.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately record and process all reservations, ensuring seamless communication with guests and colleagues alike.
- Proactively sell and upsell rooms, promotions, and packages to maximize revenue and occupancy.
- Effectively manage and control inventory, system close-out when necessary, and rate availability to achieve optimum results in occupancy, average rate, and revenue.
- Review daily reservations accuracy, including rates compliance from segment and source, by checking reservations made the previous day and arrivals for the following day.
- Control no show and late cancellation charges, ensuring timely processing and minimizing losses.
- Ensure all internal package breakdowns are loaded and tagged to the reservations in line with financial department requirements.
- Assist in monitoring reservation pick-up for the coming months, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Load and tag all sellable contracted rates in all systems for ease of use by Reservations.
- Review EzRMS, SynXis, OCM & PMS availability, maintaining sufficient inventory for high-yield segments.
- Ensure property's compliance to the Best Rate Guarantee policy, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Follow internal credit policy, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and refunds.
- Minimum O levels or Diploma in Hospitality Management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Ability to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
- Knowledge of Opera Channel Management (OCM) and Central Reservation System (CRS) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Opera PMS is imperative.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with hotel management software and systems.
