Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee a designated section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauce, pastry), ensuring seamless workflow and consistency in food quality.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to recipes and quality standards, taking pride in every detail.
- Ensure mise en place is prepared and organized for efficient service, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
- Train and supervise junior staff members in their respective sections, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure a cohesive and streamlined service flow, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- Monitor stock levels in your section, assist in ordering, and minimize food wastage, exercising fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Uphold consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control, ensuring every dish meets the highest standards of culinary excellence.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–4 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently, manage a section efficiently, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Food Safety & Hygiene Certification is highly valued, demonstrating a commitment to industry standards.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays, adapting to changing operational demands.
