About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to join our team at Anchor Search Group PTE. LTD. in Singapore. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing operational processes related to custody and trade settlement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage operational processes across custody and trade settlement for businesses in Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Lead and drive cross-functional projects and new initiatives, in addition to recurring business-as-usual (BAU) tasks.
  • Manage and maintain key relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various functions, including technology, compliance, and more.
  • Oversee daily processing of trades and ensure on-time settlement of all trades, including Equity, Fixed Income, and other financial products.
  • Manage post-trade settlement functions, such as processing trade instructions, ensuring proper communication, and troubleshooting trade queries and issues.
  • Undertake process and system enhancements to achieve optimum productivity and process efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance to all policies and regulations, and manage effective service delivery to internal and external clients.
  • Lead and manage a team in a regional capacity, demonstrating strong leadership skills and fostering collaboration.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a securities/banking-related role.
  • Experience working for a smaller fintech or startup is a must-have, as this role spans across multiple areas and requires dealing with ambiguity.
  • Good knowledge of securities operations workflows, custody procedures, and settlement processes.
  • Understanding of product parameters, policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements on domestic and global market operations.
  • Product knowledge of financial securities.
  • Experience in driving initiatives and change implementations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-servicing skills.
  • Effective communication skills with proficiency in writing and presentations.
  • Adaptable and resilient, with strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Great team player, willing to learn.
