Ceramics Studio Technician Job Description
In our dynamic ceramics studio, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Ceramics Studio Technician to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for you to develop your skills as a ceramics technician while working in a creative field.

Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can plan and execute various tasks within the ceramics studio. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and producing ceramic products, managing equipment and supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ceramics tutoring & class designing
  • Plan exhibitions and events including artist workshops
  • Kiln loading and unloading, and firing of ceramic pieces
  • Design and produce AIA ceramic products for retail purposes
  • Sets up, cleans, and demonstrates the use of equipment and instruments
  • Maintains inventories, orders supplies in accordance with purchasing procedures
  • Monitor and ensure a clean and safe working environment, with regular upkeep of work area, equipment, supplies, and materials

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Candidates with at least a diploma or degree in 3D art-related qualifications, especially pottery
  • Possess intermediate knowledge of ceramics (throwing, trimming, and glazing)
  • Able to make sake sets and teapot sets
  • Experience with teaching ceramics will be an absolute advantage
  • Passionate about working in the ceramics industry
  • Responsible and well-organized
  • Good communication skills and enjoy interacting with customers
  • A team player
  • Willing to work over the weekends and public holidays
  • Meticulous, good organizational and documentation skills
