The Programme Coordinator is a key member of the team responsible for planning, implementing, and managing programmes that promote active and healthy ageing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and organize programmes aligned with the five domains of active ageing: physical, cognitive, social, learning, and volunteerism.
  • Plan and execute daily activities including workshops, wellness sessions, and community events to enhance seniors' well-being.
  • Source and coordinate external trainers and facilitators ensuring quality standards and programme alignment.
  • Evaluate programme effectiveness through participant feedback, attendance tracking, and outcome measurement.
  • Support Centre Supervisor in programme planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Community Engagement & Outreach:

  • Conduct targeted outreach efforts including door-knocking campaigns, home visits, and community events to identify and engage isolated seniors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with seniors and their families, understanding their evolving needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to promote services and build partnerships.
  • Facilitate community-based initiatives such as health screenings, block parties, and intergenerational activities.

Volunteer & Stakeholder Management:

  • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support centre activities and outreach efforts.
  • Maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to enhance programme offerings.
  • Support corporate engagement and donor relations to secure resources for unfunded programmes.

Administrative & Operational Support:

  • Maintain accurate documentation in CRM systems including participant records, attendance tracking, and programme reports.
  • Support Centre Supervisor in daily operations including facility management, resource coordination, and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Community Development, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in community work, programme coordination, or working with seniors.
  • Organizational abilities with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneously.
