Job Opportunity:

Programme Manager Position

The Active Ageing Centre is seeking a Programme Manager to lead the development and implementation of programmes promoting active and healthy ageing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community work, programme coordination, or working with seniors, with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include developing and organising programmes aligned with the five domains of the Active Ageing Programme, planning and executing daily activities, sourcing and coordinating external trainers and facilitators, and evaluating programme effectiveness.

  • Programme Development: Develop and organise programmes that cater to the diverse needs of seniors, including workshops, wellness sessions, and community events.
  • Event Planning: Plan and execute daily activities, ensuring smooth delivery and effective communication with participants and stakeholders.
  • Trainer Coordination: Source and coordinate external trainers and facilitators to ensure quality standards and programme alignment.
  • Outreach Efforts: Conduct targeted outreach efforts to identify and engage isolated seniors, building and maintaining relationships with seniors and their families.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support centre activities and outreach efforts.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Community Development, or related fields
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience in community work, programme coordination, or working with seniors
  • Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneously
  • Data management proficiency including Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office, and programme tracking systems
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptive, collaborative approach
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and/or local dialects to effectively serve diverse senior populations
