As a Freight Pricing Specialist at People Profilers, you will be responsible for handling daily network pricing requests, ensuring compliance with tender desk processes, and providing accurate responses to requesting parties.

You will work closely with our procurement team to provide competitive quotations and negotiate rates as required. Your primary objective will be to support the Tender Desk Manager in maintaining a pricing database of current transportation rates, bidding results, and RFQ pricing.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in freight pricing and 3 years in the Transportation / Logistics industry. They must have excellent analytical, planning, and numeric skills, as well as advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Functional experience in freight forwarding and pricing and market knowledge of the Singapore market are also essential.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Handling daily network pricing requests received from overseas network offices.
  1. Ensuring compliance with Tender desk processes and guidelines.
  1. Responding and assisting on quotation requests related to Air and Ocean Freight services.
  1. Working closely with procurement team to provide competitive quotations/renegotiate as required.
  1. Providing accurate, complete and timely responses to requesting parties.
  1. Supporting to maintain a pricing database of current transportation rates as a benchmarking tool for bids.
  1. Maintaining bid log and bidding results.
  1. Supporting RFQ/Tender request from Regional and Country Tender Desk team.
  1. Reviewing and understanding RFQ requirements, rate card structure, operational requirements, terms and conditions.
  1. Delivering competitive and quality proposals by working with Account team, procurement and Regional tender team.
  1. Following up on progress of submitted tenders.
  1. Sharing received tender feedback with relevant functions and areas in the organization.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Bachelor degree or above
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in freight pricing, and minimum 3 years in Transportation / Logistics industry
  • Excellent analytical, planning and numeric skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Functional experience in freight forwarding
  • Pricing and market knowledge of Singapore market
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze RFI and RFQ documents in a timely manner
