Construction Project Cost Manager

The Quantity Surveyor is a pivotal role in the delivery of construction projects, responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. Key responsibilities include project budgeting and forecasting, progress claim evaluation, and value engineering to maintain project profitability.
Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for effective liaison with clients and stakeholders. Compliance with contractual terms and dispute management are vital in maintaining healthy relationships.
As a key member of the project team, the Quantity Surveyor will provide accurate cost advice and updates to ensure informed decision-making.
Requirements for this role include a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, strong understanding of construction contracts and cost control, proficiency in QS software and Microsoft Office, excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, and ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Tender submission preparation involves reviewing documents, preparing BOQs, analyzing specifications, drawings, and schedules to develop cost estimates, sourcing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers, collaborating with business development and project teams to ensure tender compliance and alignment, and identifying and mitigating tender risks to maximize project profitability.
