Construction Cost Manager

Job Description:
As a Construction Cost Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the project lifecycle, from design to completion. Your responsibilities will include preparing cost estimates and cash flow analyses, as well as managing payment claims and variations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects.
- Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to contractors and suppliers.
- Handle payment claims and assessments for variation works.
- Collaborate with consultants, architects, developers, and contractors to ensure certification of claims for payments.
- Take-off quantities for projects and source quotations from specialists, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Compare prices and provide cost summaries for clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Negotiation skills are essential for effective communication with stakeholders. Budgeting expertise is also vital for managing costs and ensuring timely payments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is necessary for analyzing data and creating reports. In addition, knowledge of construction management, civil engineering, tendering, pricing, sourcing, and cost control is required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is also essential.
