Construction Cost Manager

As a skilled Construction Cost Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial viability of construction projects from inception to completion. Your expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement will be crucial in achieving project goals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) to inform project decisions.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiate terms, and prepare procurement recommendations.
- Monitor project costs, verify progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, reports, and meeting records.
- Collaborate with project managers to provide administrative support in planning and execution.
- Conduct data entry and update costing spreadsheets or documents as required.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
- Visit construction sites to monitor works, validate claims, and resolve site issues when necessary.
- Support value engineering initiatives and propose cost-effective alternatives.
- Assist in project handover, ensuring all financial and contractual matters are properly closed.
