Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Partnership Director to lead our global subsea network development initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to drive business growth, foster strategic partnerships, and contribute to the success of Keppel Capital International.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development/Strategic Partnerships/Investments:
    • Leverage your expertise to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the subsea arena with potential strategic partners and customers.
    • Develop comprehensive financial models for international submarine cable systems and domestic terrestrial networks, covering the entire project lifecycle from seed funding to development and operational phases.
    • Collaborate closely with tax advisors to create tax-efficient holding structures for investments.
    • Negotiate Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), Binding Term Sheets, and Definitive Agreements with stakeholders.
    • Ability to review and negotiate agreements and contracts with partners and customers.
    • Manage and engage third-party consultants for relevant areas of work requirements.
    • Analyze emerging markets, process data, and provide clear recommendations for investment decisions.
    • Present business cases and obtain approvals from internal stakeholders, including KCL, KTT, KAIF, and KDC.
  • Partnership Management:
    • Contribute to developing compelling business propositions for potential customers who may be partners in branch landings.
    • Closely collaborate with Corporate Legal and External Legal Teams to negotiate MOUs, Binding Term Sheets, and Definitive Agreements (IRU).
    • Review agreements and contracts, and negotiate with partners and customers.
  • Internal Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting to KCL, KTT, and KAIF, as well as other Business Unit units.
    • Work closely with GRC on Red Team engagement and GCC on SGX/Press releases.
    • Assist Keppel Capital, KAIF, and others in their fund-raising activities, approval processes, due diligence, and lender documentation.
    • Engage, coordinate, and cooperate with Corporate Finance in debt-raising activities.
    • Support Business Operations in facilitating internal audit processes and working the team process for audit purposes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Proven management experience, preferably at a global level, or regional level.
  • Experience in delivering large cross-functional international programs and driving milestones.
  • Familiarity with Asia Pacific internet ecosystems, fiber optic networks, and submarine cables.
  • Ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience interacting with senior executives and other management within a company and working across commercial, technical, domestic, and international arms of an organization.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, prioritization abilities, and excellent attention to detail.
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
