Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead all aspects of mechanical design and engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptual design, basis of design, scope of work, development of construction documents.

The ideal candidate will identify possible risks to the project and stakeholders, create contingency plans to mitigate these risks, and liaise with relevant organizations, agencies, vendors, and clients to implement plans and ensure the project meets quality and safety standards.

They will manage company assets, equipment rental, and manpower to ensure optimal utilization and cost. Additionally, they will arrange timely and consistent communication sessions with internal and external stakeholders.

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will also manage the detailed mechanical design of municipal scale wastewater treatment systems and lead a team of mechanical engineers to develop core technical competencies and ensure the company stays competitive in providing value-added products/services to customers.

In this role, the successful candidate will assist in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, coordination with regulatory agencies, project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Key qualifications include:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification recognized by the relevant authorities;
  • No less than 8 years of relevant working experience;
  • Experience in Environmental, Water, or Wastewater Engineering is essential;
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to lead a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment;
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate clearly with people at all levels about goals, responsibility, performance, expectations, and feedbacks.
