Job Title: Insurance Risk Management Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced insurance risk management specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting new motor business in accordance with our guidelines and objectives, as well as liaising and advising intermediaries and insureds on motor insurance matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Underwrite new motor business in accordance with company guidelines and objectives;
* Liaise and advise intermediaries and insureds on motor insurance matters;
* Review renewal policies with claims records;
* Monitor and review own portfolio to ensure profitable growth in line with company targets;
* Assist the team lead underwriter for team-related matters;
* Provide support to other underwriters as required;
* Attend to direct queries.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 2 years of underwriting experience in motor insurance;
* Complete MAS-required qualifications to provide advice on insurance matters;
* Possess necessary people skills for managing a team;
* Good communication skills, tact, and patience needed in handling clients for this competitive class of business;
* Able to multitask and work independently;
* Conscientious, tactful, and willing to learn new skills.
