Job Purpose:

As an Insurance Risk Specialist in the Commercial Division, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to support revenue growth and customer satisfaction. This includes servicing support to grow new customers, retain existing customers, and drive transformation processes in line with company objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating and underwriting commercial risks in line with company guidelines and treaty programs.
  • Placing facultative reinsurance and ensuring contract certainty documentation is fulfilled.
  • Preparing insurance summaries, renewal invites, and working with agents and brokers to pursue renewable business.
  • Performing additional support duties, such as presenting to clients, claims and underwriting analytics, insurance schematics, issuance of cover notes, certificates of insurance, and preparation of monthly business reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2-5 years of insurance industry experience.
  • Experience in market-facing and distribution roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance and products, ideally with underwriting experience.
  • Possession of a Certificate in General Insurance and Health Insurance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with people and communication skills, a problem solver able to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change.
