Job Title: Insurance Risk Specialist

The role of the Insurance Risk Specialist involves providing exceptional service to support revenue growth and achieve customer satisfaction.


  • Assisting the division head to achieve set gross underwriting premium and profit.
  • Evaluating, underwriting, and quoting risks for commercial classes in line with the company's underwriting guidelines and treaty programme.
  • Placing facultative reinsurance and ensuring contract certainty documentation is fulfilled.
  • Preparing insurance summaries, renewal invites, and actively working with agents and facilitators to pursue renewable business and achieve high persistency targets.
  • Performing additional support duties such as presentation to clients, claims, and underwriting analytics, insurance schematics, issuance of cover notes, certificates of insurance, instructions for issuance of policies, and preparation of monthly business reports.
  • Undertaking any other assignments as allocated by the Division Head, Strategy Transformation Office, and the CEO to contribute to the overall corporate objectives.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2-5 years' experience in the insurance industry.
  • Experience in market-facing and distribution roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance and products, ideally with underwriting experience.
  • Possess Certificate in General Insurance and Health Insurance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with people and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to change.
