Marine Insurance Underwriter Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Insurance Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting department, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the risk associated with marine cargo and hull insurance policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective underwriting strategies to minimize losses and maximize profitability
  • Conduct thorough assessments of risks associated with marine cargo and hull insurance policies
  • Work closely with brokers, agents, and other stakeholders to provide expert advice and guidance on marine insurance matters
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve underwriting practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives and drive growth in the marine insurance portfolio

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in marine insurance underwriting or a related field
  • Strong understanding of marine insurance principles, laws, and regulations
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications
