Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance on the planning, design, development, and operationalization of IT systems and solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of business users while upholding organizational standards of governance and cybersecurity.
  • Project Management: Partner with business leads to develop IT specifications, secure funds and resources for projects, review cost-control measures, and optimize spending to maximize project ROI while meeting business objectives.
  • Strategic Alignment: Assess project priorities based on business impact, resource availability, and strategic alignment.
  • Governance and Risk Management: Establish governance frameworks and guidelines to standardize project management practices and ensure consistency across the IT project portfolio. Maintain oversight on project status, budgets, expenditures, and financial performance.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively across projects to optimize utilization and ensure project teams have the necessary support.
  • Stakeholder Management: Forge robust partnerships with internal business leaders and external partners to gain deeper insights into critical challenges, enhance service delivery, and steer the resolution of business issues through IT solutions.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Drive the sharing of IT project delivery best practices and innovative approaches among the Group's IT community to foster a culture of continuous innovation and cross-collaboration.
  • Vendor Management: Foster relationships with key vendors and industry players and leverage these relationships to drive smooth service delivery, agreements, and manage conflict mediation.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and proactively alert senior management to their potential impact. Maintain oversight on project risks throughout the project lifecycle and adapt strategies as needed to maintain project momentum and minimize negative impacts.
  • Talent Development: Identify emerging competencies and capabilities required to ensure project delivery teams remain at the forefront of technology. Determine current and emerging competency gaps to guide capability building plans across the subgroup.
Requirements
  • Education: Tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 20 years of working experience with 15 years in a management/technical management role. Previous experience and exposure in different functions within IT, strategy-related roles, digital innovation, and expertise at a global level.
  • Technical Competencies: Proficient in ops-tech, technology management, governance and cybersecurity standards, ICT sector, and emerging trends in technology.
  • Leadership Competencies: Ability to communicate and negotiate well, build deep ties and maintain wide social networks, inspire big teams towards the organization's vision and purpose, and create engaged and high-performing teams.
