Job Description:

As a key member of our research team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the medical school's research mission by identifying, cultivating, and managing collaborative opportunities with industry, government agencies, academic institutions, and nonprofit organizations. This strategic position is crucial to expanding the school's research portfolio, attracting external funding, and driving innovation through multidisciplinary partnerships.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of research administration, and proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for research-focused partnerships aligned with institutional goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for core facilities, including leading their annual budget review exercise and acting as the liaison between the cores and research office management.
  • Lead strategic planning for the cores by conducting scans and compiling business intelligence to enhance visioning and forecasting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

A good degree in life sciences is required, and a higher degree (Masters/PhD) is an advantage but not essential.
