Job Title: Child Development Coach

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Child Development Coach in our Small Group Care (SGC) programme. Our SGC programme provides trauma-informed care in a safe, nurturing environment to help Children and Young Persons (CYPs) heal, grow, and thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Build Strong Relationships: Establish strong, nurturing relationships with assigned children, providing individualised support and guidance.
  • Implement Therapeutic Plans: Help implement therapeutic plans and behavioural strategies, such as Positive Behavioural Plans and Occupational Therapy approaches.
  • Supervise Daily Routines: Supervise daily routines, meals, school transitions, and structured activities to ensure the well-being of the children.
  • Conduct Therapeutic Sessions: Conduct weekly one-on-one therapeutic sessions to support behaviour modification and trauma recovery.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and supervisors to track progress and plan interventions.
  • Communicate with Families: Communicate with families, schools, and other stakeholders to assist with schoolwork and care arrangements.
Requirements:
  • Technical Competencies:
    • Education: Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.
    • Language Skills: Proficient in English and a second language (Chinese, Tamil, Hindi, or Malay).
  • Core Competencies:
    • Experience: Experience working with children with trauma and behavioural challenges.
    • Patient and Compassionate: Patient, compassionate, and a strong team player.
    • Positive and Independent: Positive and independent with excellent interpersonal skills.
