Role Summary

As a Trainee in our Fragrance Evaluation department, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the field of fragrance evaluation.

Responsibilities include completing training programs, performing assigned tasks, and shadowing senior colleagues to gain experience and knowledge in the Fragrance Evaluation area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Chemistry or a related field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop basic fragrance understanding including history, raw materials, fragrance families and perfume archetypes through guided learning and self-study
  • Undertake assignments in category teams and develop deep understanding of evaluation protocols, market and consumer dynamics, best sellers and best smellers within the categories
  • Understand the brief process and develop ability to complete simple briefs with coaching from CFM, using IBIS system
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a related field
  • Verbal and written command of English
  • Ability to define, recognize and memorize olfactory notes and fragrance language terms and determine olfactory directions
  • Proficiency in using common PC applications
