Senior Major Gifts Officer Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to take on a challenging role in fundraising and relationship-building.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and soliciting major gifts from philanthropists, alumni, business community partners, corporations, foundations, and friends to support the university's mission.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster meaningful relationships with key stakeholders to identify and pursue new opportunities for major gifts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and solicit major gifts, including researching and identifying potential donors, crafting persuasive proposals, and making presentations to secure funding.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure alignment and effective communication of the university's mission and goals.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or non-profit management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or a related field, preferably in higher education or a non-profit setting.
  • Proven track record of success in securing major gifts, with a strong understanding of donor motivations and behaviors.
