Job Title: Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this position is responsible for the organisation, planning and directing of overall daily food & beverage operation and administration of the department, ensuring profitability and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure quality services, both in production and customer service, at all points of sale in the hotel.
  • Operate the various services in the department effectively.
  • Lead and motivate all Managers in the division.
  • Create a team spirit in all sections of the Food & Beverage department.
  • Ensure the profitability of the department is consistent, and be involved in pricing policy.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and work legislation in the Food & Beverage department.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle complaints tactfully.
Team Management:
  • Draw up and check work schedules for teams, considering forecasts and workloads.
  • Ensure new hire induction and required trainings are completed within three months.
  • Provide training to team members and casual labour on all aspects of banquet operations.
  • Observe, coach, motivate and counsel team members, and take disciplinary actions if required.
  • Maintain department communication logbook and update notice board.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management/Food & Beverage preferred.
  • Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
