Job Description

We are seeking a talented Staff Engineer to join our team in the field of semiconductor packaging layout design and simulation. As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative packaging layouts that meet customer specifications and requirements.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Designing and developing semiconductor packaging layouts using Cadence APD tools.
  • Reviewing technical specifications to ensure compliance with in-house and vendor design guidelines.
  • Performing layout designs, feasibility studies, and design modifications to verify drawings against project inputs for accuracy and conformance to industry standards.

You will also collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including customers, Technical Program Managers, Sales teams, Designers, and Assembly Engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.

This role requires travel as needed to support other locations or to conduct face-to-face meetings with customers.

In addition, you will maintain comprehensive documentation and proper version control of all design outputs in compliance with our procedures.

As a key member of our team, you will participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, process optimization, and productivity enhancement related to package design.

You will also contribute to new product development and qualification, establishing robust processes suitable for mass production.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience in semiconductor packaging layout design, with specific expertise using Cadence APD tools.
  • A strong understanding of industry standards and design guidelines.
  • The ability to interpret and review technical specifications.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external clients.
