Desktop Support Engineer Position Overview

The Desktop Support Engineer plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between IT teams and end users, ensuring seamless communication and support.

  • Responsibilities include assessing and categorizing issues, resolving them using internal resources or coordinating with the right support personnel for timely resolution.
  • The engineer must effectively manage incidents, including accepting, resolving, and escalating issues via live chat, email, or other designated channels.
  • A strong understanding of desktop office management software and IT service support is essential, including Microsoft 365, Office 2021, and email systems.
  • The engineer must possess the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex software-related issues beyond basic reinstallations.
  • Prior experience with server racking and cabling is an added advantage, as well as proficiency in both English and Mandarin/Chinese for regular communication with internal and external stakeholders across the APAC region.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
