About This Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Donor Engagement team at the National Library. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with donors and encouraging them to contribute significant materials to enrich our collections.

This is a critical role in preserving Singapore's documentary heritage and supporting our vision and mission through strategic donor engagement and collection development.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective donor engagement strategies to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and organizations. Review and develop policies and guidelines for donation management, staying up-to-date with emerging trends, including digital donations. Lead the entire donation process from initial engagement to collection processing, ensuring proper documentation and donor recognition. Foster cross-functional collaborations on projects like the annual Donors' Appreciation Night and organize networking events that strengthen and establish relationships with donors. Promote new donors and their collections across various platforms, oversee donation agreements, copyright clearance, and tax deduction applications, working closely with internal stakeholders. Work independently to handle sensitive matters with tact.

Requirements:
2-5 years of experience in donor relations and project management. Knowledge or interest in Southeast Asian history (a plus). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build diverse relationships. Strong project management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams. Strategic thinking to develop effective donor approaches. Ability to work independently and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will have a contract appointment for two years, at the first instance.
