Logistics Operations Director

About the Role:
The Logistics Operations Director is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing logistics operations to ensure timely delivery, minimize costs, and maintain exceptional customer satisfaction. As a seasoned professional, you will lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic plans, drive process improvements, and foster collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee supply chain management, including planning, coordination, and implementation of logistics operations.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels, manage warehouse operations, and optimize storage and handling costs.
• Negotiate with carriers, coordinate transportation routes, and track shipments to guarantee timely delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor and enforce regulatory compliance related to logistics and transportation.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization in supply chain operations.
• Foster open communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and cooperation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in logistics operations management, preferably in a director or senior leadership role.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to analyze complex logistics issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
• Knowledge of logistics regulations, laws, and industry standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing circumstances, and prioritize tasks effectively.
