**Overview**

Transport & Logistics (“T&L”) is a business line of ING Wholesale Banking Sector Coverage providing financial solutions to leading players in Automotive, Aviation, Containers & Logistics, Land Transport and Shipping. It is a dynamic team with offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, New York, Singapore and Tokyo. The Singapore team (~15 FTE) is looking for a talented Director to lead and develop our regional strategy and client relationships in the Containers & Logistics sectors.

Our strategy is to use sector knowledge to service and grow our client base and together with product partners originate mandates across ING’s product offering with a key focus on lending (bilateral, club and syndicated), sustainable finance and financial markets (fuel, foreign exchange and interest rate hedging). The T&L sector is fast evolving and plays a vital role in today’s supply chains and global economy. As digitisation and sustainability are gaining momentum, you are set for an exciting environment to operate in.

The Director role will be instrumental for the success of T&L’s Sector Coverage business and you will be working in close cooperation with the Global Lead Containers & Logistics, Regional Head Transport & Logistics, senior relationship managers and product specialists within the ING Wholesale Banking platform.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Management of client relationships.
- Origination, structuring, pricing and negotiating transactions.
- Managing the various approval and documentation processes.
- Monitoring client and lending portfolios, including annual reviews.
- Closely cooperating with risk and where relevant restructuring colleagues.
- Collaborate with key product partners in sustainable finance, financial markets, debt capital markets, capital structuring and advisory and transaction services.
- Monitoring various supporting operational processes to ensure perfect execution.
- Monitoring client due diligence (know-your-customer) processes.
- Reviewing various operational monitoring reports and management information data.
- Coaching of deal team members.

**Requirements**:

- 10+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services sector.
- In depth knowledge of and experience in the Containers & Logistics sector.
- Detail oriented, systematic and strong analytical skills.
- An effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of self-motivation and professionalism with ability to be hands-on and multi-task.
- Ability to work independently on complex transactions and under challenging timelines.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
