Project Manager

Thales is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the successful transition of projects and contribute to the preparation, organization, and validation of project launches. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary/multi-cultural teams across geographies and time zones.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and update project requirements baseline in collaboration with the Bid Manager and Capture Leader.
  • Establish and update project execution baseline, including project structure, work package description, partners and supplier contractual data, management plans, costs, budgets, and financial structure.
  • Establish and update project key decision data, including contingencies, assumptions, strategy, and business case.
  • Initialize the project by identifying key project stakeholders, setting the project team, organizing project structuring activities, and starting-up project activities.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the acquisition strategy, including making/buying strategy, suppliers consultation and negotiation, signing contracts, contract execution, and closure.
  • Lead the project launch review and involve all stakeholders, including project team, Management Plan, and associated documents.

Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in computer science, information technology, engineering, project management, or other suitable discipline.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent.
  • Proven leadership with high-level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary/multi-cultural teams.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience in a multinational enterprise business organization.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including authoring content and editing.
  • Basic project finance understanding.
  • Strong internal stakeholder management in a matrix organization.
  • Strong customer focus and external relationship management.
