About the Role

The General Manager, Singapore will be a key member of the APAC leadership team, responsible for leading the Singapore Sales & Operations team to optimize sales growth, achieve sales objectives, and execute operations flawlessly to deliver exceptional service to customers in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive and achieve sustainable sales and meet sales targets in SG.
  2. Build a high-performing team and foster a great place to work culture.
  3. Develop and implement the SG Sales Activity Plan in conjunction with stakeholders and align with business strategy.
  4. Ensure excellent customer service is delivered in line with business strategies and policies.
  5. Manage SG sales budget and profitability, cost management, local discount management, and approval processes.
  6. Work with Supply Chain to optimize supply chain processes and minimize costs while maintaining high quality and reliability of supply.
  7. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across operations without compromising quality or service.
  8. Ensure a process for reviewing risks that may impact the market's business objectives.
  9. Develop and implement a business continuity plan to ensure the market's operations are resilient.
  10. Hold accountability for EH&S in the country and ensure the right resources are in place to drive this topic.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role with a track record of success in sales, operations, and supply chain management.
  2. Proven track record in leading a substantial P&L within a fast-paced environment.
  3. Experience in Key/Strategic Account Management and proven track record in sales.
  4. Strong leadership skills and coaching experience in building, retaining, and motivating a high-performance team.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to influence, challenge, negotiate, build credibility, and work with integrity at all levels within the organization.
  6. Understanding of e-commerce solutions within a B2B environment and procurement strategies within a business environment.
  7. A thorough understanding of the SG business environment, broad industry knowledge, industry drivers, and trends.
  8. Comfort with ambiguity and in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.
  9. Ability to communicate complex processes, problems, and solutions in a simple, compelling, and accurate manner.
  10. Innovative and entrepreneurial approach and ability to develop efficient processes.
  11. Culturally sensitive and have strong emotional intelligence and able to work under pressure.
