About the role
Lead to build and deliver country business strategies by collaborating with businesses and functions. Collaborate with MD, BU leaders to identify and drive long-term headroom and accelerate opportunities. Work on strategic priorities for BD South East Asia based in market trends.
Role Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Supports the Annual Strategic Review (ASR) and is responsible for assigned contents at the country level to ensure proper and consistent identification of opportunities, risks and related factors.
- Engages with country leaders in the process of continuous ASR improvement by ensuring optimal engagement with ASR stakeholders.
- Works with business leaders to develop portfolio and market expansion strategies for growth with addressing challenges in the local market environment.
- Supports budgeting and projections to drive business priorities by collaborating with stakeholders.
- Establishes governance for cross business collaboration activities to drive BD South East Asia’s strategic initiatives identified in ASR.
Market/Business Environment Analysis
- Keeps abreast of industry/market trends, changing customer needs and technology developments through business and market insights activities, customer visits and maintains a network of high-level industry contacts.
- Understands macro/micro economic indicators and consults with stakeholders for integrating them into business discussion and decision.
- Leads analysis, aggregation and dissemination of market intelligence and analytics particularly in competitive analysis, market trends, customer buying processes and segmentations.
- Develops business cases for local market expansion and innovation.
- Plays proactive liaison with stakeholders to communicate the local market environment and extracts implications for businesses.
Commercial Excellence and Marketing
- Understands business applications/systems, and data so that correlates data analytics in sharpening business strategies.
- Analyzes components of commercial excellence and intervenes properly to provide solutions.
- Develops and tracks KPIs for commercial excellence and marketing effectiveness.
- Partners with business leaders to enhance marketing capabilities including digital transformation/omni-channel.
- Provides the best practices of marketing strategy planning and execution to the organization.
Leadership and Others
- Participates as a member of country and relevant regional leadership team, and any other teams deemed appropriate to promote company initiatives.
- Delivers ad-hoc projects and assignments to meet the business needs.
- Manages close collaboration and communication with country/region/global stakeholders.
- Live with the BD Way and ensures to comply with relevant Acts, legal/ethical standards.
Qualification
Education & Career
- Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or industry related discipline, MBA is a plus.
- Experiences in business consulting is strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of strategies, marketing, and/or commercial excellence roles.
- Cross-cultural exposure.
- Proven track of record in performance and leadership.
