Job Description

This is a high-profile opportunity to join our team as an Associate Director of Group Sourcing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic support to the Head of Group Sourcing in driving key initiatives.

The role is critical to achieving our goal of scaling group sourcing by 10x. You will be partnering with BMO Heads of Procurement and business stakeholders to identify and shape group sourcing opportunities aligned with their procurement needs and business priorities.

Your key responsibilities will include stakeholder and partner engagement, category and sourcing strategy development, group tender and GFA execution, vendor management and market insights, and procurement process and governance.

You will collaborate with the Head of Group Sourcing to define and refine category strategies across network, IT, devices, and emerging domains.

In addition, you will lead or co-lead group tenders and sourcing activities, ensuring execution excellence across procurement processes.

Expertise in procurement methodologies, including reverse auctions, forward bidding, and e-sourcing tools, will be essential in driving adoption across multi-entity procurement teams.

You will cultivate relationships with key vendors and their regional leadership to strengthen collaboration, gather market intelligence, and optimize commercial outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, a strategic mindset with attention to detail and operational rigor, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of procurement experience
  • Strong knowledge of group sourcing and procurement in a telco or telecom group environment
  • Proven track record in GFA adoption and execution
  • Expertise in procurement methodologies
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
