**Role Summary**

We are a leading furniture company with a global presence, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sourcing Director to drive our expansion into new markets through the development of a profitable B2B network. The Sourcing Director will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing and supply of furniture products that can be sold through our B2B channels worldwide. This role is pivotal in driving profitability and establishing successful product lines as well as building and leading a dedicated team to support operations.

**Responsibilities**:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Furniture Product Sourcing and Supply:

- Identify and source high-quality furniture factories from global suppliers that align with our brand values, quality standards, pricing requirements and delivery timelines.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to ensure our product offerings remain competitive and relevant in the market.

2. B2B Sales Network Development:

- Work closely with our current sales network and Brand Managers to understand their requirements and identify opportunities for expansion.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand market demand, identify potential customers, and develop strategies to penetrate new markets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with B2B partners, distributors, and retailers worldwide to promote and distribute our furniture products.

3. Product Line Development:

- Drive the development of a new line of furniture products, ensuring they align with market trends, customer preferences, and business objectives. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer insights to identify gaps and opportunities.

4. Profit and Loss Management:

- Develop strategies to maximize the profitability of the new line of business and ensure the product offerings meet targeted financial goals.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, pricing margins, and costs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Regularly analyze profit and loss performance of the furniture line and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.

5. Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationship with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, contracts, and pricing agreement. Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standard and delivery expectations.

6. Quality Assurance
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure all furniture products meet our standard and customer expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audit of suppliers to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Set Quality Standards for each product quality aligned with each Brand and Market requirements.

7. Team Management and Leadership:

- Build and lead a dedicated team, comprising the operations team, to handle sourcing, supply chain, quality control and logistics.
- Provide stewardship guidance, training, and mentorship to the team to ensure effective execution of tasks and alignment with company objectives.

8. Furniture Industry Expertise:

- Leverage your extensive experience in furniture sourcing and retail to make informed decisions and lead the team effectively.
- Stay updated with industry trends, innovations, and regulations related to furniture sourcing and manufacturing.

**Required Skills**:
To be successful in this role, he/she should have:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A relevant master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in furniture sourcing, retail, and supply chain management, preferably in a global context.
- Strong knowledge of the furniture industry, including market trends, materials, and production processes.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales strategies and distribution channels within the furniture industry.
- Managing supplier expectations and aligning production, logistics, lead time with Company’s goals.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and manage profit and loss performance effectively.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing successful business expansion plans.
- Familiarity with supply chain management and principles of best practices.
