Deputy Head of Home Job Description

The Deputy Head of Home is responsible for supporting the Head of Home in managing operational activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining accurate records. This role involves developing training programs, conducting trainings and implementing Standard Operations Procedures.

  • Support the Head of Home in overseeing daily operations and centre environment
  • Maintain proper records, including Admission and Discharge Registers, Resident's Personal Effects, and Discipline Records
  • Develop, write, and implement Standard Operations Procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Create training roadmaps and conduct trainings for staff members
  • Monitor and review Strategic Plans to ensure effective execution
  • Provide guidance and case directions for the Case Management Department
  • Participate in Review Committee and Advisory Board meetings, Family Conferences, and Assembly sessions with young persons
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to internal and external parties
  • Liaise with Clinical Consultants, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists for consultation sessions on challenging cases
  • Assist in fundraising initiatives, partnerships, and programs with corporations and donors
  • Conduct initial interviews with new admissions and their caregivers
  • Responsible for the development of the Centre and providing support to its operations
  • Support all PERTAPIS programs and activities
Requirements:
  • Minimum degree in social work or psychology or equivalent qualification
  • Min. 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Basic knowledge of IT applications (MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively with prioritization skills
