Stroke Support Station Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Stroke Support Station Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist.

This role involves conducting community outreach and basic needs assessments to seniors in designated service boundaries, providing regular befriending services, contributing to volunteer role design, recruitment, training, deployment, engagement and appreciation, planning and managing wellness programs for stroke survivors, and collaborating with community partners to organize activities such as roadshows, talks, wellness workshops, and excursions.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work independently as well as in a team, have excellent project management and events co-ordination skills, and be comfortable with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Gerontology, Community Health, Sports & Exercise Science preferred or relevant job and volunteering experience.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent project management and events co-ordination skills.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

This is an entry-level full-time position in the health care provider industry.
