About the Role

The Senior Assistant Manager, Graduate Studies will play a crucial role in overseeing the operational aspects of the MSc Finance (MSF) programme at Nanyang Technology University. This includes ensuring the effective implementation of academic, administrative, and operational processes in line with university policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strive to provide exceptional academic and social experiences for students through operational and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Suite Lead and Academic Director to review and update the curriculum, as well as plan and implement timetabling for each trimester of the programme.
  • Oversee the organization and execution of orientation activities, including procurement of necessary items and arrangements for refreshments, classes, and teambuilding events.
  • Ensure the timely dissemination of course information, materials, and programme announcements to students, as well as booking of venues.
  • Support faculty members by providing assistance in preparing course materials, class attendance lists, and logistical arrangements for lessons.
  • Provide academic guidance to students in planning their courses and prerequisite requirements for graduation.
  • Accurately register students for courses and submit relevant data to internal departments.
  • Monitor student academic progress to ensure that they meet all graduation requirements within the specified period.
  • Plan and oversee various social and professional events organized for students.
  • Comply with university policies and regulations regarding assessment and examination, ensuring accuracy in student grades and records.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback from students and staff regarding course and student experience.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience in programme management in an institution of higher learning.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends when required and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Good understanding of budget management, with the ability to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Able to gather and analyze data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Service-oriented individual with a growth mindset, able to learn and adapt quickly to new situations.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and comfortable using technology to streamline administrative tasks.
