Job Title: Senior Research Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting advanced research in electrodynamics simulations and developing new software tools to model complex electromagnetic phenomena.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in theoretical physics and mathematical physics, with experience in C++ and Python programming languages. You will work closely with senior researchers to formulate new theories and publish papers in high-impact journals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in computationally solving electrodynamics problems involving electron-photon and electron-matter interactions in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) regime
  • Developing new, efficient software for modeling unprecedented electromagnetic phenomena using languages such as C++ and Python
  • Collaborating with senior researchers to formulate new theories pertaining to EUV generation, obtained ab initio from Maxwell's equations and quantum electrodynamics/quantum field theory
  • Leading papers and publishing in high-impact journals
  • Presenting at top-tier international conferences
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in physics, mathematics, engineering or related field
  • A strong background in electrodynamics simulations techniques
  • A strong background in C++, Python or similar languages
  • A strong background in theoretical physics and mathematical physics
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Competent in teamwork and presenting results in informative visuals
  • Interpersonal skill: Ability to work under pressure, Ability to work independently, develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details, excellent organizational / time management skills
