Environmental Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead the implementation of EHS procedures, guidelines, standards, and policies in line with industry requirements.

  • Develop and implement annual EHS objectives and performance targets in alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with national laws, regulations, and protocols within projects.
  • Represent the organization in EHS matters with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and review relevant EHS documentation at various stages of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead EHS teams for implementation of EHS during all stages of projects.
  • Investigate and report on EHS incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Guide staff on required EHS training and promote development of EHS skills and competency.
  • Participate in EHS audits/inspections and report findings to relevant parties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized university. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Membership of a recognized professional engineering or EHS association/institution is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in EHS functions and exposure to EPC for major oil & gas projects.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with EHS and environmental regulatory regimes.
  • Knowledge of international safety engineering codes and standards.
  • Experience in development of project EHS related plans and specifications.
