
EHS Lead Engineer

Job Description Summary As the Lead Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer at GE Aviation, you will be the site technical expert on EHS issues, providing input to site EHS Leader and management. To initiate and influence EHS culture improvement and work as a team to integrate related EHS policy & practices into the business. He/she will work closely with his/her department and the operation team in risk controls, training, audit and incident/accident investigation. He / she will also be expected to lead and guidance to EHS team members.
**Job Description**:
**Essential Responsibilities**:
**These include but not limited to**:
- Develop & implement EHS programs and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
Conduct risk assessment, training and audit
Implement required corrective /preventive measures based on audit finding, root cause analysis and trending analysis
Develop & implement tracking programs and record keeping systems and administer EHS compliance tracking program
Work with process owners to evaluate new product introduction, equipment and chemicals to ensure risks are properly assess and control measures are in place prior to use on site
Provide day to day EHS support to operations
Support site security system implementation and enforcement.
Lead and provide guidance to EHS team members with lesser experience.
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
Possess Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Science with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience or
Possess Diploma in Engineering / Science from local Polytechnic with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience.
Registered WSHO and FSM is a must.
