Job Title: Health and Safety Professional

Job Description:
  •   Provide expert guidance to senior management on Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  •   Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify control measures, and recommend strategies to mitigate hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  •   Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new and amended regulations, communicate changes to stakeholders, and implement necessary adjustments.
  •   Collaborate closely with local authorities, building landlords, and other stakeholders to ensure effective EHS governance.
  •   Develop and implement EHS policies, objectives, reference standards, programs, and tools in line with Safran Group-level initiatives.
  •   Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS reporting and compliance matters, ensuring seamless collaboration with regional EHS and group's low-carbon initiatives.
  •   Oversee EHS documentation management, update procedures, and processes to maintain a robust and compliant system.
  •   Regularly monitor and report EHS performance, conducting timely incident investigations and reporting.
  •   Identify EHS competency training needs for various job functions, develop and deliver internal training sessions (induction, risk assessments, etc.).
  •   Coach and support management and response teams in emergency preparedness, response plans, and procedures, organizing periodic drills and exercises.
  •   Conduct internal EHS inspections and audits, recommending continuous improvements to enhance legal and group EHS compliance.
  •   Review and endorse EHS permits to work.
  •   Qualify contractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to the company's EHS standards and policies.
  •   Organize EHS awareness activities and promotional programs for site staff.
  •   Manage facility-related services, including cleaning, maintenance, and security services.
  •   Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned and serve as backup for Quality/Risk Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  •   Possess WSQ Specialist Diploma Level C or recognized degree/diploma in Engineering, Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or relevant specialty.
  •   Hold MOM-registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer status with 5 years of safety experience.
  •   Demonstrate good knowledge of ISO14001/ISO45001 requirements and experience in aviation industry is preferred.
  •   Have a solid understanding and knowledge of WSH Act, Fire and Environmental regulations, and other relevant legislation.
  •   Exhibit pro-active and self-directed qualities, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead under pressure.
  •   Produce leadership in WSH and serve as a role model for good WSH practice and professionalism to management, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  •   Experience leading a team is an added advantage.
  •   Display excellent communication skills.
