Job Description

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining databases to ensure high availability and reliability. You will install, configure, and maintain database software and tools, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues.

The role involves working with developers to design and improve database schemas, optimizing designs for performance and scalability, and maintaining documentation and database standards.

You will also manage database users, roles, and permissions, perform upgrades and patches, and ensure system stability.

Additionally, you will analyze and optimize queries and indexes, monitor performance metrics, and apply tuning strategies to identify and fix performance bottlenecks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in database management
  • Strong experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or similar DBMS
  • Hands-on experience in performance tuning, replication, and SQL programming
  • Experience with MongoDB performance tuning and administration
  • Knowledge of high availability solutions (clustering, mirroring, availability groups)
  • Experience in SSRS report development and SSIS/ETL is a plus
  • Experience in public sector industry is a plus
