Database Administrator Role

As a highly skilled database administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our databases.

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge on database administration for various versions, with experience in very large scale database environments and mission critical large OLTP and OLAP systems.

Responsibilities include setup and configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring/performance/diagnostics, as well as performance tuning using EXPLAIN PLAN, SQLTRACE, TKPROF, STATSPACK, AWR and ADDM.

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining databases, ensuring data security, tuning performance, backing up data, and providing training and support to users.

The successful candidate will have good experience in writing/editing batch/shell scripts, and will be familiar with traditional hot/cold backups and RMAN full/incremental backups.

We are seeking a senior-level database administrator with a mid-senior level of experience and a strong background in information technology.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of database administration for various versions
  • Experience in very large scale database environments and mission critical large OLTP and OLAP systems
  • Good experience in writing/editing batch/shell scripts
  • Setup and configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
