Job Title: Senior Database Administrator

Description:

As a key player in our team, the senior database administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance databases. This includes monitoring system health, optimizing query execution, and ensuring data consistency across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Design and Optimization : Utilize expert knowledge of database systems to design scalable and efficient architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Automation and Efficiency : Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline database management tasks, reducing manual intervention and improving overall productivity.
  • Error Detection and Resolution : Employ troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve complex database issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring high availability.
  • Collaboration and Communication : Foster strong relationships with development teams to enhance database performance and stability, participating in on-call rotations to ensure continuous support.

Requirements:

  • Education : Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in TCP/IP, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networks, and databases, with a solid understanding of database theory and system architecture.
  • Programming Experience : Expertise in at least one backend programming language (Python, Golang, Java, etc.) and familiarity with Unix/Linux systems and networking.
  • Databases : Experience with databases such as MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, HDFS, or HBase is highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills : Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
