Database System Architect

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled Database System Architect to design and implement high availability database environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a high availability database environment, including monitoring systems, automation tools, log management, backup solutions, and other database-related systems.
  • Monitor and maintain daily PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and data integrity.
  • Implement robust database security measures to protect against unauthorized access and ensure the availability of backup data.
  • Collaborate in the implementation of various types of cutover processes, including master-slave switchover, BI data push, cluster data synchronization, and data migration.
  • Perform stress testing on production databases and optimize their performance.
  • Establish a disaster recovery environment to achieve high availability of the database.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for a junior position.
  • Required skills include PostgreSQL, database monitoring, DB automation system, technical support, HA DB environment, and production database testing.
  • Familiarity with SQL statements, performance tuning, and troubleshooting application issues is essential.
  • Strong knowledge in DB security control is necessary.
  • Team players who can work independently are preferred.
  • Providing technical support to other team members is an added advantage.
  • Senior Executives specializing in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent are preferred.
