Advanced Database Professional

Seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, performance tuning, monitoring replication health, query performance, and disk usage. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL database setup and maintenance, familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery configurations, and experience supporting Tier-1 applications with defined RTOs.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Routine maintenance: backups, patching, performance tuning.
- Monitoring replication health, query performance, and disk usage.
- Handling incident response and troubleshooting.
- Installing PostgreSQL database in cluster mode and DBA-related task/maintenance activities as part of one-time activity during the project phase.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong experience in Cards & Payments domain.
- Hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL database setup and maintenance.
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
- Experience supporting Tier-1 applications with defined RTOs.
