This is an exciting opportunity to join our healthcare team as a skilled and compassionate professional. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in the patient care process, ensuring that blood samples are collected safely and efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • You will perform venipuncture procedures to collect blood specimens for laboratory investigations in adult and geriatric settings.
  • You will support initiatives to review and improve work processes, contributing to organisational goals.
  • You will conduct HIV screening interviews for patients, providing empathetic and confidential care.
  • You will assist the Section Leader in operational and administrative matters.

Requirements:

  • A keen interest in blood-taking (venipuncture) is essential.
  • No experience is required; training will be provided.
  • You must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility is required, including working 2 rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Working Hours:

  • The working hours will be based on the roster.
  • Shifts may include 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, or 3pm-9:30pm.

Additional Information:

  • Locum positions are available for experienced phlebotomists.
