Job Description

The VPR office at NTU seeks a highly experienced and skilled individual to lead its research efforts. As a Deputy Director/Director, you will be responsible for driving the university's research strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement research policies, and overseeing the allocation of resources to deliver NTU's research plans.

You will work closely with senior research leadership, administrative units and other stakeholders to achieve research objectives, including the formulation, implementation and regular review of research policies and procedures.

Key Activities:

  • Develop and implement research policies and procedures;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to standardise research related policies across NTU;
  • Engage with various stakeholders to align, bridge and improve processes;
  • Lead the development of Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance with NTU's policies and procedures;
  • Monitor and evaluate research outcomes and funding effectiveness to inform resource allocation decisions;
  • Implement data-driven reporting systems to streamline compliance monitoring and reporting;
  • Manage annual budgets and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
